Something to be aware of - The M&S excess goes upto £70 plus 20% of total cost of treatment when the dog gets to 9.

thanks, I could possibly ghet a much better deal with Cindy :) I've just emailed them about their exclusion policy - i.e. Animal friends wanted to exclude any treatment for cancers cos she has a couple of fatty lumps... here's hoping :)

Most insurers ask for a % on top of the excess after 8 yrs so I was suprised to see Axa wasn't!!

What concerns me is they are offering cheap insurance for the first year and will then load it thereafter. See Lisa post Greenbee.
Greenbee is a trading name of John Lewis plc. John Lewis plc is an appointed representative of AXA Insurance UK plc which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

I'm surprise they will take older dogs. When I was thinking of changing with Spoof either they weren't interested or charged the earth but it was a few years ago. Currently I'm paying £65 a month for Spoof (13+ yrs) so that quote seems quite reasonable.

plus Spoof,Indy, Warwick (Rescue), Rosie (Rescue), Tatti and Oskins those are the Weims but there are others who along side them are at RB and all are in my heart forever[/color]

I've got Lucan (Lab pup) with Axa costing £19 per month, haven't had to claim yet so don't know what they're like. £27 for Tara sounds very reasonable, I already pay £25 pm to M&S for Bracken and he's only 3!
