I moved Chase from PG to Limit one show early as he was not going to benefit from one of his slightly younger friends being in the same class

If he is well behaved in the ring then moving him up shows a degree of confidence in his ability but if he can still be frisky then it may be better to stay in PG.
Both classes are tricky, stay in PG too long and people see the dog as having been over-looked but move into Limit too early and he may look immature. Think about the dogs you compete against on a regular basis and if he looks mature enough then move him up - if not then stay in PG for the next couple of shows and see how you go.
