I have not long found this website, but I wanted to say I lost my Kasper at the age of 14 and 1/2 last month, I think every medication the vet put him on affected his tummy, he had bloat at the age of ten, then at the age of 12 the vet found he had a heart murmor and a incontinence, he was put on medication for both, he would had some sort of seizures 3 to 5 times a week, I stopped the medication for a week and didn't tell anyone my husband and I had lunch in the garden, and I asked him if he had noticed a difference in Kasp he replied yes he's more lively playing with toys and had not had a seizure in a week. I decided to take him off, and he was back to his normal self more lively and no seizure's. I think I would not have had my last 2 and 1/2 years with him if I had continued. I think they are children and the doctor always askes mum's instinct.

This is the first time I have been able to respond without getting upset he was my best friend, I now have baby Enzo 7 weeks old he's already attached to me just like my shadow lost.

thank you for sharing this.

I too have had some bad experience with vets and totally agree sometimes the meds are not the answer. I agree with you and now I think less is more and Oskar had two mild colitis attacks in 1.5 years. This is amazing considering we were at the vets once a month with him being unwell.

In poor Monts case sadly he has several health issues and I am not sure what went on back then.
